Get Your Golf Takeaway On Path Correctly For A Better Golf Swing
Many golf swing problems start with an improper golf takeaway. When you can learn to swing the club back correctly on the first part of the swing, you'll have a much easier time keeping your golf swing on plane.
When the golf takeaway is off, many different golf swing problems can occur. For example, if you take the golf club too far outside from the start of the backswing, your swing will probably have a bit of a loop to it. When the club head starts back outside, you'll have to make a compensation in another part of the golf swing to adjust for it.
When the golf club head moves too much to the inside on the takeaway, more severe problems can develop in the golf swing. Taking the golf club back too far inside is a problem some amatuers and high handicap golfers can have. This can be classified as the death move, because it can be very difficult to get the golf club back on plane once it is started an too far of an inside path.
It's important to have good width or golf swing extension in your takeaway. Your forearms should be extended nicely as you take the club back. There will be a slight wrist set or wrist hinge in the beginning of the golf backswing. You don't want to bend the right elbow too early in your backswing. The right elbow will bend but only after you've swung your club to about halfway back in the backswing.
