Having Good Golf Posture Will Help Your Golf Swing

Checkpoint #1 For Correct Golf Swing Posture:

Have good angles in your golf swing setup. Perfect golf posture in your golf swing stance will consist of having good angles in the setup or address position. You want to make sure your knees are bent and you are bending from the hips. There should be angles that form at your knees and your hips. Many golfers will make the mistake of having a rounded back and not much bend from the hips. This is incorrect and you may also develop back problems. So remember to keep your rear end out and your back straight with a good bend from the hips in your setup.

There should also be a slight angle between your forearms and the club shaft. This will happen naturally if you allow your arms to hang down. You want the butt end of the grip to point right at your belt buckle. This will ensure you have the proper position with the club and your hands.

When you are holding the golf club in the setup, your hands should be a fist and thumb width from your left thigh. This is a way you can check and make sure your hands are the proper distance away from your body.

Checkpoint #2 For Correct Golf Swing Posture:

If you drew a line from the top of the back of your arm, it should fall straight down through your knees and to the balls of your feet. This is very important to get right so you do not stand up too straight or bend over too much. This will help you make sure your posture is correct every time you setup.
