Golf Driver Stance And Setup Tips
There are a couple of golf driver stance adjustments that should be made to your normal setup when using your driver. First of all make sure to play the golf ball all the way off of your left heel. You are hitting your driver slightly on the upswing, so playing the ball farther forward in your stance will allow you to sweep the ball more coming through impact.
Good Golf Shots With The Driver Require A Proper Driver Setup
Another helpful tip when setting up to the golf ball with your driver is to tilt your spine slightly to the right. This also promotes hitting the golf ball more on the upswing and will allow you to launch it into the air more easily.
The driver can be the most fun club to hit in your bag if you are able to hit it well. Many golfers are uncomfortable using their drivers to the point where they're hitting 3 woods off of the tees instead. If a couple of simple adjustments where made to the driver setup and the golf swing, it would be a lot easier to hit the driver well. It makes a big difference if you are hitting 7 irons into the greens as opposed to 4 or 5 irons. You'll hit more greens if you are closer in and this is only possible if you can hit your driver long and straight.
Good golf swing balance as well as proper golf swing tempo will also help you hit your driver better and more consistently. Work on the fundamentals and make the necessary adjustments in your golf driver stance and you'll be on your way to hitting more fairways and increasing your distance off the tee.
