Easy Golf Tips For Golfers Of All Levels
If you've ever read golf magazines, watched the Golf Channel on TV, or taken golf lessons from a certified teaching instructor, you may have found some of the tips and information a bit difficult to incorporate into your golf swing. For an amatuer golfer or weekend player, taking any golf tips you can get is probably not the best thing you can do for your swing. There are many sources of golf tips and information on the golf swing. The problem with having so much information available is it can be a bit overwhelming. Trying to think about too many things and still swing the golf club properly can be quite a challenging task.
When I give golf lessons to my students, there is a certain sequence and order I use to go about checking and instructing the basic fundamental principles of the golf swing I believe are important. I'll always check the grip and setup positions first. A good and proper setup can greatly reduce and even eliminate a whole lot of possible swing problems.
Once the setup is good, I'll then check out the golfer's swing plane and swing path. An easy way to make sure your swing plane is correct is halfway back, make sure the club is set in the middle of your chest if you were looking in a mirror. At the top of your backswing, feel your golf club swing over your right shoulder. On the follow through, try to swing the club over your right shoulder. This is an easy way to get your club swinging on the correct path and plane.
Try to maintain your angles the best you can. Don't stand up in the backswing or when trying to hit the golf ball. The impact position should be similar to the setup position. There should not be a lot of excess body movements in the golf swing. You'll simply turn back and turn through while maintaining good angles.
Everything comes together at impact. The weight has shifted back to the left side and the hands should lead the clubface slightly as you are coming in to hit the golf ball. These basic and easy golf tips are designed to help simplify your golf swing so you can play better more consistently.
