Get A Complete Golf Swing Picture For Total Success
It's good to have an idea or picture of the complete golf swing for success. One big secret to having a good golf swing is to keep it a simple, fluid complete motion. Don't get into the trap of analyzing your golf swing too much that you lose your natural rhythm. It's good to have a clear mental picture of the swing and be able to focus on "swinging the golf club" as opposed to steering or guiding it. Make a full and complete backswing and downswing. If you're fundamentals are down with your setup, backswing, impact, and follow through, you'll be on your way to great golf. Simply adding good tempo is a must to achieve success. Tempo allows your natural ability to take over. Just allow the golf club to swing and let the ball get in the way.
It's okay to focus on a specific part of the swing at the driving range or in your practice sessions. However, you should also practice more whole brain praciticing by focusing on swinging the club and getting some fluidity to your swing. This will increase not only your distance but your accuracy as well.
Sometimes beginner golfers will lack a full complete golf swing. They may not finish their backswing or complete their follow through and face the target. A good way to feel a complete and full golf swing is to focus on swinging the golf club over your shoulder in both your backswing and your followthrough. In the golf backswing, if you swing over your shoulder, your body will naturally turn to follow the club. Also, in your follow through, swinging the club over your left shoulder will promote your weight to completely shift to your front foot and your body will naturally face your target which will lead to better golf shots.
